As a Professor and Head of Community and Family Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, I am profoundly committed to advancing medical education, conducting research, and promoting public health. Additionally, I serve as Chairperson and Faculty in Charge of Examinations, where I oversee the seamless execution of all examination-related activities.
I have dedicated the past 18 years to my journey within medical institutes, building upon my prior experience as a Surveillance Medical Officer with World Health Organisation, National Polio Surveillance Project (WHO NPSP), and contributing to the National Family Health Survey. My comprehension and proficiency have been enhanced by this foundation.
I hail from Mumbai, where I earned my MBBS and MD degrees at Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai and Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai respectively. In 2020, I had the privilege of being awarded the FAIMER fellowship, and in 2024, I proudly received the Fellow of Commonwealth Medical Association (FCMA) award.
Beyond my work obligations, I find immense joy in exploring new places, immersing myself in the beauty of nature, and indulging in the rhythms of music.”
