Dr Supriya Kheur, MDS, PhD, is an academician-scientist-clinician with an experience of over 20 years. She is presently working as a professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology and is In -charge , Department of Regenerative Medicine at Dr. D.Y.Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune.
Her research over the years has contributed towards the understanding of oral cancer, precancer, HIV, implant surfaces, and material coatings. Recently her work has focused on the oral microbiome, stem cells, and regenerative medicine for the treatment of conditions like Oral submucous fibrosis, as well as other systemic diseases like diabetes. Her work bridges clinical practice and research, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based approaches. She has also contributed to curriculum development and academic leadership initiatives and is actively involved in activities of the Rotary organization. Dr. Kheur has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications. A recognized speaker, she has received multiple national and international grants, including from ITI, ICMR, and BIRAC, and has been honored for her contributions to community oral health initiatives.
She enjoys travelling and exploring new places, especially on a bicycle.
