Dr Shweta Jindal currently serves as Chief of Party for the UP Health Systems Strengthening Project implemented by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in India. In this role, she is responsible for leading the India team’s operations, program strategy, design and implementation, providing technical and managerial support required by the team and state partners on a day-to-day basis, while ensuring that the project is delivering to its commitments. She is also responsible for representing the team at national, regional and international platforms for external and internal communications, forging and maintaining collaborations, and managing key stakeholders. Her prior experience as a clinician and in techno-managerial roles in public health enables her to bring in the healthcare provider perspective to programming and policy decisions. She is also an active volunteer at the LSHTM and British Council alumni networks, mentoring students in navigating their journeys in healthcare. Outside of work, she likes to travel, engage in visual and creative arts, and generating dialogue on gender rights and environmental issues.
