Dr. Shirisha Chilla, MBBS, DGO, is a senior public health professional with over 17 years of continuous service in maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health. She currently serves as State Programme Officer – Maternal Health, Government of Andhra Pradesh, providing strategic leadership for state maternal health programmes. She has successfully drafted and secured approval of the State Programme Implementation Plan aligned with RMNCH+A and EPMM frameworks. Dr. Chilla has represented the state in national consultations and Common Review Missions, led large-scale initiatives such as the Swasth Nari Sakshakt Parivar Abhiyan (2025), and coordinated partnerships with UNICEF, WHO, and other leading institutions. Her expertise includes programme design, capacity building (Dakshata, IMNCI, CAC), midwifery-led care, data-driven monitoring, and emergency response during COVID-19 and flood relief operations. Outside her professional commitments, Dr. Shirisha Chilla enjoys spending time with her family and loves playing Ludo, Chess and badminton with them.
