Experience

Dr. Shahrzad Nooravi is an organizational psychologist, Master Certified Coach (MCC) and speaker who uses her 20+ years of experience in leadership development, change management, team building, coaching and employee communications to connect strategy and performance in multi-cultural and international settings. Her clients describe her style as candid, inspiring and empowering.

Prior to joining CCL, she held consulting roles at Mercer HR Consulting and Packman & Associates where she designed employee communication programs as well as coached and facilitated workshops for Fortune 500 companies. She has also worked in director level talent management roles for mid- sized organizations.

Current Role

Shahrzad has a systems approach to her work and is skilled at assessing business needs and working closely with senior staff to develop, brand and introduce initiatives from conception to implementation. She has applied her experience with culture, change management, accountability systems and leadership to empower leaders to find their leadership voice and make key decisions that result in solid team performance. The impact of her work includes increased accountability, succession planning, higher employee engagement and retention and more open and inclusive communication cultures.

Shahrzad believes DEI is a way of being and has coached other CCL coaches, as well as her clients in this area.

She has served clients in a range of industries including entertainment, manufacturing, automotive, construction, professional service firms, technology and healthcare.

Educational Background

Shahrzad is an ICF-Certified (International Coach Federation) at the MCC level. She has earned a doctorate of Psychology degree in Organization Development from Alliant International University, a master’s degree in Business Communication from Pepperdine University and a double major bachelors degree in Psychology and Journalism from California State University Northridge.

Professional Affiliations

When Shahrzad is not working with clients, she is serving as an adjunct instructor at San Diego State University. Shahrzad has had her research on the best practices of successful CEOs featured in the San Diego press. She was also named “Citizen of the Year” and “A Voice to Listen to in La Jolla” for her community activism advocating for pedestrian safety. Currently, she volunteers for Just in Time, an organization that helps support, educate and inspire youth as they transition out of foster care.

Shahrzad enjoys international travel, tennis, skiing and boxing and speaks conversational Spanish and French and is fluent in Farsi. Author of a leadership book entitled, “A Powerful Culture Starts with You,” Shahrzad seeks to empower leaders to tap into their deepest potential for their families, companies and communities.
