Dr. Sally Saba is the Chief Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Officer at Medtronic, a newly created role to strengthen and elevate the company’s longstanding commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equity. Dr. Saba most recently served as vice president of equity, inclusion, and diversity at Kaiser Permanente, the nation’s largest nonprofit integrated healthcare system. Dr. Saba led the organization’s overall I&D strategy and spearheaded key initiatives, including a high-profile supplier diversity program. With a track record of leading initiatives that deliver clear and long-lasting results, one of her biggest successes at Kaiser was the organization’s commitment to spend at least $1 billion annually with women- and minority-owned businesses. Before joining Kaiser, Dr. Saba served in leadership roles at global telecom company Vodafone. At Medtronic, she partners with other leaders to strengthen the company’s I&D strategy. She also works to advance its inclusive culture, ensuring the company is well-positioned to attract and retain top talent. Dr. Saba holds a medical degree from Cairo University, and an MBA from École Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées. She was named one of the Top 100 Diversity leaders under 50 by MBA magazine and one of the most influential women in Business by the San Francisco Business Times. In 2018, she graduated from an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
