Rupa Mishra

Dr. Rupa Mishra is the Cancer Genetics Lead and Senior Scientist at Prashanti Cancer Care Mission–Centre for Translational Cancer Research, where she leads breast cancer genetics projects and oversees the Genetic Clinic. Trained in molecular biology, epidemiology, and biostatistics, through her PhD and postdoctoral research, she connects laboratory science with patient care by studying somatic and germline mutations and the molecular drivers of breast cancer. Her work focuses on improving risk stratification, clinical decision-making, and outcomes for women with breast cancer. She works closely with clinicians to support the translation of research into routine care. Committed to developing the next generation of scientists, she also mentors young researchers and has served as a mentor with Global Talent Mentoring.
