At present, I am working as an Assistant Professor at the Symbiosis Centre for Stem Cell
Research (SCSCR), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. Herein, I am mainly involved in research activities along with teaching responsibilties. On a broader scale, my research interest lies in the development of biomaterial-based medical devices to address the issues concerning various areas in healthcare.

Before joining SCSCR, I had worked as a postdoctoral researcher at The Ohio State University, Ohio, USA; as a faculty at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur; as a Scientific Advisor in a Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) Scheme incubated at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur; and, as an Assistant Professor at MGM University, Aurangabad.

My educational background comprises of a masters in ‘Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology’ from Banasthali Vidyapith in 2006, and a doctoral degree from IIT Kanpur in 2013. Apart from work, I enjoy combining science with arts in the form of ‘Sci-Art’. I have also won many competitions based on my hobbies in poetry & essay writing; participated in art, singing and dance events; and have been involved in social work activities involving education of underpriveledged children.
