Reshma is currently working as Deputy Manager-Production at Serum Institute of India Pune, where she plays a pivotal role in technology transfer and CMC compliance that have resulted in the dissemination of innovative products for public health benefit.
Prior to joining Serum Institute of India, Reshma served as a scientist at the Resource Centre for Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratories (RC-VRDL), ICMR-National Institute of Virology Pune. She shouldered the responsibility for establishing a tiered network of laboratories across the country for timely identification of viruses and other agents of public health concern. She has provided strategic and technical support in areas of capacity building, identification of viruses, data generation, facilitating quick deployment of resources and measures, particularly in the landscape for respiratory viruses.
Reshma holds a PhD degree in viral vaccine development from National Institute of Virology Pune and has authored an important chapter in the book Covid-19 Pandemic (History, Science, and Society) published by the Indian Council of Medical Research.
