Rema Sundar is a work-loving and a passionate person who believes in the immense power of communicating for change, especially in development-oriented sectors such as public health.
Significant among her public health contributions is as the anchor for Washington-based Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids’ operations in Kerala. As the state partner, Rema and her organisation have led the policy & media advocacy efforts for tobacco control, for seven years. Notable among her efforts is the publication in ‘Tobacco Control’ by The BMJ.
Rema has been an earnest contributor to leading media houses including The Hindu, the Village Square and has begun writing for the Down To Earth.
A self-made God-loving person born into orthodox settings, Rema has seized opportunities to invest in her education, and holds a Masters degree in Economics, a Masters Diploma in Management, and a M.Phil in Women’s Studies.
