Rachna William is a physician and public health specialist, who finds profound joy and fulfilment in working alongside field staff and actively engaging with communities.
She has been serving as the Regional Technical Manager at John Snow India (JSI) for over five years now, providing technical expertise to State Governments’ immunization program, including field monitoring and program supervision.
Rachna is a valued member of various State Health committees and contributes as a reviewer to the Tamil Nadu Journal of Public Health and Medical Research. Additionally, she is a member of the State Scientific Advisory Committee for Ethics and also serves on JSI’s Internal Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH). Lauded for her enduring contribution to Tamil Nadu’s Prevention of Parent-to-Child Transmission (PPTCT) program, she is passionate about vulnerable/marginalized communities and women/children.
With over 16 years of experience, Rachna has worked extensively with UNICEF, WHO and other esteemed organizations, in areas of HIV, maternal and child health and adolescent health.
Outside of work, she enjoys music, movies, coloring and cherishes traveling with her daughter, creating memories and discovering new places.
