Dr. Rosemary Nkemdilim Ogu is the National President of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Port Harcourt.
She holds an MBBS with Distinction from the University of Benin, and fellowships from the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. She also earned an MSc in Reproductive Health.
Prof. Ogu has received numerous awards, including commendations from the Nigerian Medical Association and the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria. She has held various academic and administrative roles and contributed significantly to international medical organizations. Her research, funded by entities like WHO, Ford Foundation and Pfizer, focuses on reproductive health, diabetes, and youth-friendly health services. She has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and continues to influence medical education and health policy in Nigeria.
