I have over 25 years’ experience of conducting a wide range of research in the area of sexual and reproductive health with a focus on contraception, barrier methods, HIV prevention, and maternal health. I have experience in a wide area of research methodologies (cohorts, clinical trials, implementation science, surveys, product development research) from which I have over 160 publications. I have conducted a wide range or research that has been used in regulatory approvals for new barrier methods. In my role as Research Professor and Executive Director of Wits MRU I am involved in day to day management of staff and projects, writing funding applications, writing up results of studies as reports and publications and dissemination of our work to key stakeholders. I supervise PhD and masters students and am involved in capacity building of staff.
