I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Community Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur (since Feb 2024).
My job responsibilities include teaching medical students, looking after the functioning of our rural health training centre at Bela being, and carrying out research projects.
Prior to this I worked for 3 years at Andaman and Nicobar Islands and that was enriching experience as
I also got to work with the tribal population, and provide basic health services in remote islands by means of camps. I also held an additional charge of Medical Officer of ART Centre at GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair. I have worked as a Research Assistant at Kimmel Cancer Center in Philadelphia, USA for 6 years.
Qualifications: MBBS (Lady Harding Medical College, 2002), MPH (Jefferson School of Population Health, 2012), MD Community Medicine ( Maulana Azad Medical College, 2017).
Besides this, I am a mother to 4 dogs and love to spend my free time with them. One of my biggest passions is singing followed by spending time in nature. I also practice mindfulness and meditation since several years.
