Dr. Preeti Nigam is a public health professional with over 18 years of experience in epidemiology, surveillance, immunization, and health systems strengthening. She currently serves as Strategy, Planning and Management Officer with the National Public Health Support Network at the WHO Country Office for India, where she leads strategic planning, resource mobilization, results-based monitoring, and polio transition initiatives.

Holding an MD in Community Medicine, Dr. Nigam has provided national leadership in strengthening vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, improving immunization performance, and advancing evidence-informed decision-making across diverse and complex settings. Her contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic were critical in restoring India’s surveillance and immunization indicators to pre-pandemic levels. Known for her collaborative leadership and analytical rigor, she works closely with government and partners to translate data into sustainable public health action.
