With an extensive experience in public health, nutrition research and academic administration, Panchali Moitra is committed to initiatives that empower young women with the skills, resources, and networks needed to excel in their chosen fields. As the Academic Dean and Convener R&D and PhD Centre, she drives academic excellence and research rigor through innovative curricula, intentional mentorship and professional opportunities, inspiring women to step confidently into leadership and pursue their dreams with determination. Dr Moitra’s expertise lies in nutritional epidemiology, child and adolescent health, behaviour change communication and socio-environmental contexts of food choices. She has led interdisciplinary project teams, designed dietary intervention studies, managed multicentric clinical trials and works closely with government, industry and development sector partners to translate evidence into programs and policy-relevant action. She holds a doctoral degree in Food Science and Nutrition and is passionate about blog writing, cooking, yoga and travel.
