Nitu Pandit is the Founder of Gram Roots Collective Foundation, a grassroots organisation strengthening community health and women’s livelihoods in rural and tribal Madhya Pradesh. With over 14 years of experience spanning civil society, government systems, and fellowship-based platforms, she has led initiatives in preventive healthcare, women’s entrepreneurship, Self-Help Group strengthening, and constitutional literacy. A former Asisstant block manager with the State Rural Livelihood Mission, she supported women’s collectives, financial inclusion, and gender empowerment across villages. Her current work trains rural women as Community Health Entrepreneurs, equipping them with point-of-care diagnostic skills to deliver health screening services and generate sustainable livelihoods in underserved communities.
Nitu holds an MSW, an MBA in Rural Management, and a PGPDM from SPJIMR Mumbai. She is an alumna of the SOCHARA Community Health Fellowship, Pravah Delhi’s Changelooms, and Commutiny the Youth Collective’s Learning Leadership Journey. Outside work, she enjoys travel, reading and music.
