Dr. Muriel Mac-Seing is an Assistant Professor of Global Health at the School of Public Health of the Université de Montréal (ESPUM). Her postdoctoral research, conducted at the Dalla School of Public Health of the University of Toronto, investigated COVID-19-related global health governance and how it redefined population health research priorities in Canada. Her doctoral research, conducted at ESPUM, examined the relationships among legislation, health policy, and the utilisation of sexual and reproductive health services by people with disabilities in post-conflict Northern Uganda. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s in applied sciences from McGill University. Her areas of interest include global public health, global health governance, intersectionality, disability rights and inclusion, equity and social justice, sexual and reproductive health rights including HIV and AIDS, climate change, structural and social determinants of health, integrated knowledge mobilisation and exchange, qualitative research, and mixed methods. She co-led the first list of Francophone Women Leaders in Global Health. She was named among the Canadian Women Leaders in Global Health by the Canadian Association for Global Health.
