I currently work as Health Specialist, Unicef Odisha. I am associated with UNICEF since 2008 and have worked, in the states of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. I lead the UNICEF support in the areas of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Immunisation, Emergencies, Covid response and EVTHS. Advocacy, policy influencing, monitoring, operational research and on ground support to the cause of child survival is my major role. I work with multiple stakeholders to develop networks to enhance maternal and child survival specially in tribal areas. My work experience includes Tuberculosis control and HIV/AIDS in my previous assignments with WHO and CARE India respectively. I am also a reviewer of articles for BMC Public Health, Springer nature and Journal of Public Health. I am a medical doctor with MPH and PhD degrees. I speak five languages, love traveling, music, reading and exploring new places.
