2022 Leadership Journey Project: Impact of the use of E-learning Platforms in Enhancing Cervical Cancer Knowledge & Awareness

A medical doctor by profession, she holds an MBChB from the University of Nairobi, a Masters in Public Health Epidemiology and Disease Control from Kenyatta University and a postgraduate diploma in NCD Diplomacy from Graduate Institute Geneva. Currently, Head of the National Cancer Control Programme at the Ministry of Health in Kenya. Member of the Africa Cancer Coalition and the Kenya Society of Haematology and Oncology.


Dr. Nyangasi has over ten (10) years’ experience working in oncology both in clinical oncology specialist practice and in cancer policy and programming at the national government. Her main interests is in health systems strengthening for prevention and control of NCDs and cancer through project implementation, research and innovation and she successfully spearheaded decentralization of cancer treatment (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) to regional cancer centers in Kenya among other major achievements. She has interest in research and has published a number of papers in various peer-reviewed journals.
