Margaret O. Akinwaare (Senior Lecturer, University of Ibadan) is a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Registered Public Health Nurse, Researcher, and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her research areas of interest include: Maternal health, Reproductive health, and Women’s health. She holds a PhD in Maternal and Child Health Nursing. She is a Global Health Fellow of Harvard University, Boston University, Northwestern University, and New Mexico University (HBNU) Global Health Fellows Consortium. She is a recipient of fellowship and grant awards in and outside Africa. Margaret is a member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (ISSUP), Africa Inter-professional Education Network (AfreHealth), SIGMA Theta TAU International (STTI) Honour Society of Nursing, and the National Association of University Nursing Programs (NAUNP), International AIDS Society (IAS), American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), and Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA).
