Liberty is a seasoned communications leader with over 14 years of experience driving strategic communications across mainstream media, civil society, and international development sectors. He brings a strong track record in designing and executing high-impact communication strategies and workflows that amplify organizational vision, shape public discourse, and influence policy around gender equity and global health.
His expertise spans the full spectrum of media and stakeholder engagement from television, radio, and print to digital campaigns leveraging storytelling, policy and advocacy, and brand positioning to build influence and drive social impact. Liberty has played a pivotal role in elevating the voices of women and girls, working with grassroots movements, women’s rights organizations, and global partners to advance inclusive leadership and systemic change.
Before joining WomenLift Health, Liberty served as the communications lead at The Mawazo Institute, a women-led African research organization with footprints across different geographies, where he led strategic messaging, donor engagement, and thought leadership efforts. He also previously worked at CRAWN Trust as a communications strategist, championing civic participation and policy advocacy for African women and girls.
Liberty holds a bachelors degree in development communication, a certification in strategic digital communications from Aga Khan University, a certification in governance and regulation, access to information, and media viability from Stellenbosch University, and a masters degree in diplomacy, development, and international security. He brings both a sharp strategic mind and a values-driven leadership approach to every role, with a commitment to transforming narratives and building communications systems that accelerate change.
