Joan has been an executive coach, leadership development facilitator, and business leader since 2000. Her industry sector experience includes Fortune 50, large multinational companies, healthcare systems, nonprofit organizations, private foundations, local governments, and small family run businesses. With this expertise, she helps the leaders she coaches thrive under pressure, quickly gaining their trust by asking thought provoking questions and creating a space for them to chart a path forward with actionable strategies. Joan has held senior leadership roles and understands their complexities. These roles include a Senior Vice President and Program Officer at a private foundation and Managing Director of the Center for Creative Leadership’s Colorado business unit and member of the America’s Strategic Leadership team. Joan has been a healthcare administrator and nurse clinician.

Joan is a leadership and team coach based in Colorado. She has coached leaders of all levels and has been a trusted advisor to the C- suite and their teams.Through her work at CCL, she is well versed in individual growth and team development strategies focusing her coaching on leader transitions, team alignment, culture change, and succession planning. Her pragmatic approach to client challenges helps to transform leadership capabilities and maximize business results. She has a long history of board service in support of her belief that community service is a powerful practice field for leadership development
Educational Background
Joan holds an MSN from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro and a BSN from Duke University. She is qualified on a wide variety of psychometric assessments and 360-degree feedback tools including the Hogan Suite, Leadership Versatility Index, WorkPlace Big 5, EQ I 2.0, and the CCL suite of assessments.
Professional Affiliations
Joan has continued her business and coaching education through numerous post-graduate business courses and coaching certifications. A Board-Certified Coach (BCC) since 2013 she is a member of the Center for Credentialing founding inaugural circle and holds an International Coaching Group, Inc. Diversity Coach Certification (ICF approved).
Experience
Kristina Chirico has over 20 years of experience as an executive coach, facilitator, high potential program manager, curriculum and workshop designer, and organizational development consultant.
Kristina became interested in human potential and coaching while in graduate school. After completing her coaching certification at icoach NY, coaching became a passionate pursuit and a part of every job Kristina has held. She has received an internal coaching certification while at Lockheed Martin (LM) and is experienced in assisting leaders and teams to accelerate transitions and improve performance. She also served as a coaching program manager at LM Space Systems Company. Kristina is currently a principal at Veracious Leadership, LLC.
Kristina has spent most of her corporate career in the defense industry working for Lockheed Martin. She has coached leaders at various levels in many industries but has spent most of her time in telecommunication, health care, travel, and non-profit.
Current Role
Kristina is a Leadership Coach for CCL based out of Colorado. She is certified to administer and interpret Benchmarks® assessments, Hogan Assessments, Conflict Dynamics Profile®, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, WorkPlace Big 5 Profile™, FIRO-B®, Thomas Kilmann conflict mode Instrument (TKI®), BarOn Emotional Quotient-Inventory (BarOn EQ-i®). Kristina also completed trauma mitigation coaching certification.
She approaches leadership from a holistic perspective. She believes that the most effective leaders lead from their mind and heart, and have a deep understanding of themselves and their impact on others.
Kristina draws on research findings from positive psychology, emotional intelligence, and neuroscience to help leaders make specific behavioral changes that improve their leadership effectiveness.
Kristina is fluent in Czech.

Kristina holds MA and a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Auburn University and BS in Psychology from Agnes Scott College.
