Jemima Nyamekye Puni

Jemima Nyamekye Puni (Senior Midwifery Officer, Ghana Health Service) is a Senior Midwifery Officer at the Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga, Ghana, with over 14 years of experience in maternal and child health. She provides clinical leadership while integrating public health approaches to improve the quality of care and health outcomes for women and newborns. Jemima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Master of Public Health from Nagasaki University, Japan. She is committed to advancing health equity by empowering women to participate in decision-making during pregnancy, with a focus on fetal movement awareness and early recognition of danger signs to support timely care-seeking. Outside of her professional work, Jemima enjoys cooking and experimenting with both Ghanaian and international dishes.
