Jane Mwangi serves as Pillar Chief for CDC DGHT Laboratory and Health systems strengthening services in Kenya, responsible for coordinating laboratory services for HIV diagnosis and management as well as enhancing local capacity towards a sustainable public health response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Her role requires strong skills in stakeholder engagement, consensus building and program management. Public health promotes access to quality medical services to the neediest populations in society. Jane previously served as the Chair of Hematology Department at the University of Nairobi Medical School. Jane Mwangi enjoys growing people – identifying talent and opportunities to diversify experience. She holds  an M.D. and Master’s degree in Pathology from The University of Nairobi as well as a Master’s degree in Health Systems Management from The University of London- School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
