Dr. Hafsa Ahmad currently serves as Scientist ‘D’ in the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India. Her current work portfolio includes programs like RuTAG (Rural technology action group), the India-EU-Trade and Technology Council, Biodiversity and Human Well Being and projects related to mental health, antimicrobial resistance, waste to wealth etc. Dr. Ahmad has previously served at the National Biopharma Mission and at Mission Ind-CEPI housed at the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), where she handled important assignments in vaccines and biopharmaceuticals. She has also served at the Health vertical, NITI Aayog, where she handled the Pharma, Med-Tech, Research & Innovation portfolios. Dr. Ahmad holds a doctorate degree in pharmaceutical sciences and has been the recipient of the prestigious INSA medal for young scientists (Health) 2018. Her work has largely dealt with analytical; pre-formulation and formulation methodologies, contributing to preclinical drug development. She likes to travel and spent time with her toddler.
