Dr. Gitismita Naik, an MD in Community Medicine, is an Assistant Professor at AIIMS Kalyani in West Bengal. With experience spanning academics, public health practice, and research at AIIMS, WHO, and CHRD SAS, she has contributed to health policy, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and systematic reviews. Her epidemiological research and mentorship work reflects a commitment to evidence-based practice and capacity-building. She has published on maternal health, COVID-19, malnutrition, and immunization. She is passionate about translating research into impact, striving to improve healthcare access and equity in resource-limited settings. She feels deeply about women’s health, inequality, and equity. She has been awarded a Health Policy and Systems Research Fellowship.
