Vundli Ramokolo, Specialist Scientist, South African Medical Research Council

Dr Vundli Ramokolo is an Epidemiologist with more than 15 years’ maternal and child health research experience. She holds a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) degree from the University of Cape Town and a doctorate from the University of Bergen, Norway. She has also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University, USA. Dr Ramokolo is currently working as a Specialist Scientist at the HIV and Other Infectious Disease Research Unit at the South African Medical Research Council. She has a keen interest in understanding the interactions between nutrition, communicable and non-communicable disease over the course of life. Her research has contributed to scientific advances in our understanding of the impact of in-utero HIV and ART exposure on adverse pregnancy outcomes and postnatal growth. In her personal time, she enjoys staying active, reading, listening to podcasts, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
