Dr Elizabeth Igaga is a global patient safety leader and anesthesiologist with 10+ years of experience. She currently serves as Senior Director for Program Safety at Smile Train where she provides leadership and oversight of program safety of over 1000+ partner hospitals globally. She completed her Global Healthcare Safety Fellowship with the Patient Safety Movement Foundation. She obtained both her medical degrees at Makerere University and is a fellow of the College of Anesthetists of Central, Eastern, and Southern Africa. She is a lecturer at her alma mater and has served on the executive committee of the Association of Anesthesiologists of Uganda.
