Dr. Amenze Eguavoen is a public health physician, child and adolescent health advocate, and strategic leader with deep experience in maternal, child, and adolescent health, HIV, health systems strengthening, and capacity building. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Lluvia Health Organisation, where she leads impactful programs that provide therapeutic play, nutrition, psychosocial support, and life skills development for children and adolescents in diverse contexts.
Her work also includes training healthcare workers and caregivers to improve health outcomes. Dr. Amenze holds an MBBS from the University of Lagos and an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. A passionate advocate for women’s leadership and equity, she is dedicated to helping children thrive and supporting young people as they transition into adulthood—while also challenging systemic barriers to women’s advancement in the workforce.
