A research professional with 15 years of experience in Healthcare R&D and Infectious Diseases, she holds a postgraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She began her scientific career in stem cell research at Narayana Health, followed by work at the Indian Institute of Science, where she focused on understanding the pathogenesis of Hepatitis-B-virus and Coxsackie-virus. She subsequently conducted research at the University of Lethbridge, Canada, investigating RNA–protein interactions, alternative translation mechanisms, and cancer cell biology. Transitioning from academia to healthcare industry, she has contributed to the development of innovative diagnostic solutions at Siemens Healthcare. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed research publications, holds patents in the diagnostics domain, and has led as well as collaborated on large, multi-institutional projects including sponsored by the NIH and the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs of the U.S. Department of Defense. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and engaging in performing arts.
