Chimbi is a public health and development professional with over a decade of experience supporting evidence-driven policy and health systems strengthening, across Southern Africa. She currently serves as Associate Director at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where she supports strategic planning, donor engagement, and program implementation for malaria elimination efforts. Her work includes providing technical support on work planning, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance, and the development of donor proposals and programmatic reports. Previously, she supported monitoring, evaluation, and learning for TB/HIV/AIDS programs, strengthening data systems, supervising multidisciplinary teams, and promoting data-driven decision-making. She has also supported health financing reforms, nutrition assessments, and HIV prevention research in collaboration with governments and global partners. Her background spans policy research, governance, and national statistics, with experience supporting randomized evaluations and large-scale surveys that informed public sector decision-making. Outside of work, she is an avid DIY enthusiast who enjoys fixing and building things.
