Bukola Adesoji (Senior Midwife & Researcher, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital) is a senior midwife at the maternity unit of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, having worked for about 26years. She provides as a member of a team Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health care with special interest in antenatal care through puerperium. She is currently undergoing her doctoral programme in Nursing Science. She has 16 scientific papers in which she collaborated with scholars from different professions. As a senior midwife with orientation in public health, she has helped to influence practice and policy formulation in gender-responsive care. This has enabled her to lead her subordinates by example and ensure that gender-responsive and respectful services are incorporated into the routine care provided. She had served as a member of a committee by the Nursing Council of Nigeria for the implementation of development programmes for nurses. She loves meeting new people and can communicate across all age groups
