2022 Leadership Journey Project: How might we integrate a gender lens into human-centered design?
Bhavya Gowda is the Senior Market Access and Commercialization Lead within PATH’s Diagnostics program. Bhavya has ~15 years of experience applying a market lens to solving complex global health problems through research, analysis and collaboration with partners to increase access to health products and services. Bhavya has worked on projects across sexual and reproductive health, cervical cancer, malaria, diagnostics, medical devices, and product innovation. In her former role as Deputy Director for PATH’s Living Labs, she focused on strategic and operational elements associated with building a sustainable model for PATH’s in-country human-centered design capacity, including expansion into new geographies and health areas. Before joining PATH, Bhavya worked for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Ethiopia and Lesotho, leading an array of HIV and TB projects. She started her career working in healthcare consulting.
Bhavya earned her Masters in Science of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and she holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
