Betty Wariari is a passionate global health advocate for women and children. She works as the Associate Director for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health at Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI).
Betty has an undergraduate degree in Human Biology, Master of Science degree in Community Health and Global Executive Master of Business Administration.
Through her extensive fifteen years of experience, Betty has dedicated her focus towards driving solutions that bridge the gap between policy and impact for women and children. As such, Betty has catalyzed the development and implementation of strategic policies, standards, guidelines, and training packages. Her recent support included the successful development and rollout of national guidelines for the Management of Apnoea of Prematurity in Kenya, Comprehensive and Essential Newborn Training Packages, and integrated inpatient data tools for children. As an ingenious, fast learner, Betty has effectively spearheaded the implementation of innovative solutions, which have resulted in the introduction of affordable, lifesaving commodities, technologies, and supplies.
Betty serves as a committed leader and volunteer at Rotary International. She has received various awards, such as the Who is Who among Students in American Universities, Distinguished Alumni Award, and has been recognized in several leadership roles through Rotary. As a successful alumni of WomenLift Health, Betty passionately believes in transforming health systems to save the lives of mothers and children, a mission she champions every day.
