Batsy is a Zimbabwean public health specialist and a graduate of the Masters Field Epidemiology Training Program currently enrolled as DrPH distance learner at Tesside University, with extensive experience in Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response across Southern Africa. She has supported all Southern African countries in responding to health emergencies, providing technical leadership, coordination, and capacity strengthening during complex public health crises. Currently, she serves as a Programs leader overseeing all programs at the Africa CDC Southern Africa Regional Collaborating Centre (RCC), in which in her capacity deputise the Regional Director where she provides strategic direction to advance regional health security and resilience. Her work reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based public health action, regional collaboration, and leadership development.

Outside of public health, she is a home trained cook who enjoys cooking a wide range of international cuisines.
