Apurva_Tiwari, Associate Director Monitoring and Evaluation, SNEHA Mumbai

I am a development sector professional with over a decade of experience in monitoring and evaluation, program implementation, and healthcare quality. As Associate Director of Monitoring & Evaluation at SNEHA, a Mumbai-based NGO, I oversee the development and implementation of M&E frameworks for adolescent health, palliative care, and gender-based violence programs. My work focuses on capacity building, impact evaluation, data management, and academic writing—all contributing to evidence-based intervention models for healthier urban communities.

I am deeply committed to using data-driven insights to create meaningful change in public systems. I believe that behind every data point is a human story, and my goal is to ensure that the findings translate into actionable strategies that improve lives. I am particularly passionate about leveraging technology to enhance M&E systems, fostering systems thinking, and creating collaborative work environments. Seeing evidence transform into impact fuels my drive to push boundaries and innovate within the field.
Previously, I served as the single point of contact for health facility monitoring and service upgradation under the NQAS and Kayakalp schemes at the National Health Mission, overseeing five tribal districts in Chhattisgarh. I also played a key role in implementing the Clean India Initiative for public health facilities in these districts.

A qualified dentist, I hold a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Epidemiology. Beyond work, I enjoy traveling, listening to music, and spending quality time with friends and family.
