Anne is a health systems specialist with over 15 years experience working with both the public and development sectors. Universal health coverage sums up her vision for the health sector. She is passionate about ensuring that all people can access the quality healthcare they need without financial hardship.
Anne is the Regional director, East and Southern Africa at ThinkWell, a global health systems development organization that supports countries in their journey towards UHC. Her work focuses on providing technical advisory support to governments on health financing reforms for Universal health coverage. Anne started her career in the public sector, where she worked as a hospital medical superintendent and district medical officer of health. She later worked for local and international NGOs in various leadership capacities. She holds a MSc in Public health- Disease Control ( Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium, Antwerp), a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery (University of Nairobi,) Post graduate diploma in health economics (University of Cape Town) and executive education certification in Strategy and Leadership from Harvard Business School. She serves on several boards as a board director.
