2024 Leadership Journey Project: Is this for me?: the role of white women in global health

Anna Rapp (she/her) has worked across global and local health for two decades. Her experience spans a variety of topics, including immunization, primary health care, HIV/AIDS, supply chain management, data for decision making, monitoring and evaluation, behavioral science, and design thinking. Anna is an independent global health consultant, working in health systems, gender equality, social determinants of health, and monitoring, learning, and evaluation. Anna has particular interest in social justice and anti-oppressive practices. Prior to consulting, Anna served for 9 years as a Senior Program Officer at Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, on the Immunization Team, where her portfolio addressed behavioral barriers to vaccine uptake. Additional experience includes U.S. CDC, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, the UCSF AIDS Health Project, and Peace Corps. She holds a BA in Science and Society and an MPH in Global Health. Anna lives in Seattle with her family.
