Amina Muhtar is a consultant with over 10 years of experience working across sub-Saharan Africa (including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa). Amina’s interest in global public health started in 2011 with her work with the Nigerian Government’s National Primary Health Care Development Agency. Amina led the Planning & Evaluation Unit for a Maternal and Child Health program that involved designing and implementing demand and supply side interventions across primary health care centers nationwide. Subsequently, Amina worked as a management consultant in McKinsey & Company’s Africa office where she worked across diverse projects with the private sector, government, international development agencies, and philanthropic organizations. Currently, Amina is working in McKinsey’s New York office where she focuses on supporting digital and analytics transformation programs for clients. Amina completed her Masters in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelors of Commerce degree in Finance from McGill University. In her spare time, Amina enjoys traveling, teaching yoga and health coaching.
