WomenLift Health is delighted to welcome Dr. Sylvia Vito as the new Director for East Africa. Dr. Vito is a seasoned business executive with two decades of executive leadership experience across the African continent. She is also a proud WomenLift Health Global Fellow.
As a transformational and versatile leader, Dr. Vito brings deep expertise in healthcare business strategy, systems strengthening, and sustainable investment, driving growth and impact across diverse markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently, she served as the Africa Head of EVA Pharma International.
Throughout her career, Dr. Vito has led complex, multi-country operations and high-impact programs for global pharmaceutical organizations, advancing access to affordable, quality healthcare. She has worked with various governments, development partners, and private sector players to drive health system strengthening, and bring transformative investments to Sub-Saharan Africa.
Her leadership has been central to initiatives in local manufacturing, non-communicable diseases, sexual and reproductive health, community investment, health care provider capacity building, and public-private partnerships that strengthen Africa’s health ecosystem. With a proven track record in business performance, strategic partnerships, and innovative, patient-centered programs, Dr. Vito is recognized for her ability to blend business acumen with purpose-driven leadership.
