Dr. Iyaye-David Aseminaso

Dr. Iyaye-David Aseminaso (Health Specialist and Forensic Nurse Consultant) is a Public Health practitioner, Advanced Midwife, and Forensic Nursing scholar with extensive experience in maternal and reproductive health, ethnobotanical research, and community-based healthcare practice in Nigeria. Her research focuses on the exploration of utero-active plants used in maternity care in Rivers State, integrating qualitative research, phytochemical analysis, and evidence-based nursing practice to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes. She is currently pursuing advanced doctoral studies in forensic nursing and has contributed to scientific conferences, public health trainings, and healthcare policy discussions in reproductive health, family planning, and maternal and newborn care. A passionate community advocate and professional mentor, she is committed to advancing women’s leadership and promoting culturally informed, research-driven healthcare solutions.Fun fact: Outside work, she enjoys exploring indigenous medicinal plants and documenting traditional maternal health practices.
