Regina Afrakomah Ofori (Senior Midwifery Officer, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital) is a Ghanaian midwife and rising public health leader, specialising in maternal and reproductive health systems. She holds a Master of Science in Midwifery and has participated in research on the psychosocial burden of preeclampsia and eclampsia. As a Well Woman Care resident at the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives, Regina has collaborated on reproductive health projects with the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana in Cape Coast and spearheaded community awareness programs at Action on Preeclampsia Ghana to encourage early detection and management of hypertensive pregnancy disorders. Regina is particularly passionate about integrating mental health into maternal care and advocating for One Health strategies that connect human, animal, environmental, and community factors to enhance outcomes. She is committed to mentorship, research-informed practice, and strengthening health systems through leadership and advocacy. Regina enjoys storytelling and has a creative interest in transforming real-life health experiences into compelling narratives.
