Angela Mawunya Katso (Senior Midwifery Officer, Ghana Health Service) is a midwife and women’s health professional from Ghana with a strong interest in obstetric and gynaecological emergencies and newborn care. Her work focuses on improving quick referrals, preparing health facilities for emergencies, and improving communication to reduce delays and support better care for mothers and newborns. She is involved in clinical care, mentoring others, and training health workers to improve maternal health services. Angela is passionate about improving health for mothers and babies and strengthening health systems. She is trained as a midwife and continues to develop her leadership skills in health. Fun fact: outside work, she enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and taking part in community activities.
