Dr. Mamta Jaiswal is a biotech entrepreneur with over 17 years of global experience in recombinant protein engineering and antibody discovery. In 2024, she co-founded ProteInno MAB Tech Pvt. Ltd. to build an indigenous single domain antibody (nanobody) platform for affordable diagnostics and therapeutics targeting critical public health priorities in India, including snakebite envenomation, anemia etc.
She holds a PhD in Natural Sciences (summa cum laude) from Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, Germany and an MSc in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee, India. She was a postdoctoral scientist at the Max Planck Institutes (Dortmund and Göttingen, Germany). Her work has been published in high-impact journals. Dr. Jaiswal previously worked at IIT Kanpur, and contributed to strengthening the startup ecosystem in Northeast India as a Portfolio Manager at BioNEST IIT Guwahati.
At ProteInno, she leads the translation of deep-science innovation into affordable healthcare solutions for underserved populations.
Outside work, she enjoys exploring mountains.
