Lizandra Cristóvão

Lizandra Cassia Caposso Cristóvão da Costa, born on February 24th, 1991 in Luanda, Angola, daughter of Adriano Francisco Lopes Cristóvão and Carla Maria Roque Caposso Cristóvão, is a Visionary Leader, Executive in the Health field and Community advocate, whose life is based on her purpose, Faith and service to the Country she loves. Her life journey spans continents, combining expertise in Public Health, Political involvement, Spiritual depth and creative passion.

Lizandra is a Senior member of the Ministry of Health of Angola and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Services Management, with specialization in the same field, Lizandra also holds two Postgraduate Degrees in Pedagogical Education and Health Systems Strengthening, and a Master’s Degree in Health Management (Executive MBA). Her education, combined with her lived experience and strategic acumen, positions her as a powerful agent of change.

Her Leadership journey began early, in her youth, and has remained uninterrupted. While studying in the United States of America, she served as the First President of the Angolan Student Association in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and since 2023, she has been an official speaker and member (2014) of the National Society for Leadership and Success of America (NSLS). Her international engagements include representing Angola in the Interagency Supply Chain Group since 2024 and speaking at numerous national and global conferences on Leadership and Health. Lizandra held the position of General Director of CECOMA, Angola’s Central Store for Procurement and Supply Chain Management of Medicines and Medical Equipment. From 2023 to 2025, she led and transformed the national pharmaceutical supply chain with strategic vision and operational precision, managing partnerships with global donors including The Global Fund, USAID, UNICEF, UNDP, WHO, UNFPA, Stop TB, and the World Bank. Her leadership ensured that Angola’s supply chain remained resilient, responsive, and aligned with national health priorities.

In 2024, Lizandra was part of the Presidential Comittee that attended the 79th UN General Assembly in New York, USA, aiming to outline crucial actions to address global challenges and put humanity on the path to success. That same year, Lizandra participated in the Africa Health ExCon in Egypt, continuosly advocating and showcasing investment potential in Africa, advocating for ensuring equitable access to health technology on the continent and strategies to secure commitment in adopting new methodologies to improve the supply chain.

Multilingual and multicultural, Lizandra speaks Portuguese and English fluently, has intermediate proficiency in Spanish and is currently learning French — a testament to her global vision and belief in unlimited growth.

Faith is a central pillar in Lizandra’s life. Raised in the Central United Methodist Church, for over a decade she continues her spiritual journey between the United Methodist Church and the Cathedral of Worship and Promise. Outside of work, Lizandra loves spending time with her three children, a caring and nurturing Mother, and she serves her community. Her hobbies are crocheting, an art she learned from her grandmother at age 13 and Painting. Lizandra´s motto in work and life is based on the phrase: “”The hurry is not to finish, but to shape the path during trajectory.
