Carol M. Manyele is a demographer breaking down barriers to sexual reproductive health (SRH) and mental health (MH) care for adolescents and young people in Zambia. Carol is serving as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager at Grassroot Soccer Zambia, where she provides MEL technical support to ensure quality assurance and generate evidence to inform its adolescent SRH and MH programs.
She is a recipient of the 2020 Scottish Government and Edinburgh business school scholarship award under the Gender Equality Initiative. She is passionate about youth and women leadership and how this influences health equity. Her experience working in the health sector youth and community development in rural communities spans over eight years, where she has worked for projects funded by UNICEF, Roger Federer Foundation and the European Union.
Fun Fact, Carol is passionate about all soccer and women leadership, and a vivid supporter of the Zambia National Women’s Soccer team. She passionately believes in Grassroot Soccer ‘s unique model of utilizing soccer and positive youth development approaches to address SRH and MH needs of adolescents.
