Lara S. Martin, MA, MPH, is a global leader in public health and humanitarian aid. Ms. Martin has 17+ years of experience in leading global health and humanitarian programs, developing fundraising strategies, full project cycle management, proposal development, and grant reporting for community centered programs in highly complex low resource environments. She managed and maintained multi-million-dollar portfolios through partnership building, donor stewardship, and attention to effective storytelling that centers on community experience. Ms. Martin worked for Save the Children, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), the Center for Complex Humanitarian Emergencies at Emory University, among others. She holds a Master of Public Health, Community Health and Development from Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, a Master of Arts, Social Anthropology of Development from University of London – SOAS, and a Bachelor of Arts, Cultural Anthropology, from the University of South Florida.
In addition to her programmatic leadership, Ms. Martin is a researcher in sexual and reproductive health, human rights, and environmental justice. She is Chair of the Board of Directors for Positive Impact Health Centers, based in Atlanta, GA, a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, and she’s certified in Mental Health First Aid.
