WOMENLIFT HEALTH ANNOUNCES 2021 GLOBAL LEADERSHIP JOURNEY COHORT

Elevates a Diverse Group of Thirty Women Leaders in Global Health

WomenLift Health, an organization dedicated to expanding the power and influence of diverse, talented women in global health, today announced the 2021 Global Leadership Journey Cohort. Thirty women were selected through a competitive process for this year-long, fully-funded program, which provides accomplished, mid-career women with the tools – along with mentorship, coaching and peer support – to elevate their voice, expertise and leadership skills for health impact.

“Solving the world’s global health challenges requires equality in health leadership; women must have a seat at the decision-making table,” said Amie Batson, Executive Director, WomenLift Health. “I am delighted to welcome these thirty extraordinary women to the WomenLift Health Leadership Journey, which is designed to create a network of talented women leaders and provide them with the tools, guidance and space for independent and collaborative learning to deepen and elevate their leadership impact.”

The Leadership Journey is a 12-month learning experience that provides successful women leaders with the insights needed to make purposeful choices to expand their individual impact in the field of global health. The program is highly interactive and designed to have immediate and practical applications to build confidence and strategically navigate workplace and career challenges. It builds on maximizing personal leadership power to accelerate influence across networks and drive global change. The Leadership Journey is a candid, exploratory, and results-driven experience that tackles provocative and timely issues facing high-potential leaders who are ready to expand their leadership impact.

Throughout the Leadership Journey, participants engage in virtual learning touchpoints and a self-directed leadership project, while being supported by their coaches, mentors, facilitators, peers, and eminent figures in the global health sector. This year’s Leadership Journey cohort members will work on leadership projects ranging from digital health and innovation, to institutional change, to empowerment and advocacy.
