Health Impact Leadership

Our leadership journey begins and ends with health impact.
By equipping mid-to-senior women in health with the mindsets, tools, and vision to lead through greater complexity, institutions gain leaders who are more confident, strategic, and equipped to step into higher-impact roles driving change at the team, organizational, and sector level. The Journey is grounded in evidence-based frameworks and tailored through a human-centered design process that integrates the lived and professional experiences of women leaders across diverse health and institutional contexts. As a result, participants return to their organizations with sharpened leadership acumen, and the ability to drive collaboration, innovation, and inclusive change-benefiting not only their own trajectories but also the strategic health impact and leadership culture of the institutions they serve.

We begin by grounding ourselves in the why of health leadership: why leadership matters, what change we seek, and what’s at stake.

From there, we dive into the who - who we are as health leaders, as individuals, how we build trust and relationships , and how we mobilize and develop others. This is not a linear path. We return to impact again and again, each time with deeper self-awareness, stronger relationships, and more strategic clarity.

Geographic Leadership Journeys
At WomenLift Health, we understand that achieving our health goals will take more than technical skills, it takes deliberate investment in leadership.

Geographic Leadership Journey is a 12-month learning and development experience bringing together talented, committed mid-to-senior women working in health within a specific region. It focuses on providing a safe space to explore authentic leadership through vulnerability and reflection; a diverse network that fosters a strong sense of belonging; and tools and strategies to enhance voice, presence, and influence, all supported by a powerful community of peers, mentors, and coaches. Fellows return to their institutions with stronger leadership competencies and greater decision-making authority, and two-thirds contribute to institutional policy or practice change within a year of completing the program.

Thematic Leadership Journeys
WomenLift Health understands the power of bringing together diverse women leaders working across a single health ecosystem.

Our Thematic Leadership Journey is a targeted 12-month experience that unites mid-to-senior women working across sectors within a specific health domain. When women leading within the same health challenge grow together, the ecosystem benefits: Fellows of our thematic journeys are already applying that leadership to advance policy and practice within their domain, accelerating progress on the health priorities that matter most.

Institutional Leadership Journeys
WomenLift Health recognizes that every institution operates within its own unique context, with distinct leadership needs, strategic priorities, and organizational cultures.

That is why our Institutional Leadership Journey is co-designed with institutional partners, applying our proven 12-month model to a cohort drawn from a single institution. Institutions gain leaders who step into higher-impact roles, strengthen the teams and cultures around them, and contribute meaningfully to the health outcomes their organization exists to deliver.
